bedtimestories Read any good “bedtime stories” to your kids lately? The UK government got some press recently for 2 print ads they took out using nursery rhymes to bring attention to global warming. Click on the link to the left and have a look at an earlier TV ad produced by the UK Government called “bedtime stories." This ad first went up in October 2009, and is suddenly getting a lot of attention.

According to a spokeswoman for the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change, the ad is "consistent with Government policy on the issue, which is informed by the latest science and assessments of peer-reviewed, scientific literature…Climate change is not just a problem for generations of people far in the future; it’s happening now; it affects us and our children, and we owe it to them to take action now to prevent its worst effects."

Here, here UK Government, thumbs up for the aggressive approach on climate change education. We in the US need to be emboldened by your actions, as our Senate slowly takes “baby steps” forward in its discussions on how the US government is responding to the climate change crisis!
