welcome

You are a mother, a father, a grandparent, an uncle, an aunt, a teacher or a child at heart. When you hear the Native American saying, “We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”, it makes you stop for a moment and think. You love nature, travel, adventure and believing in a world that is special and unique. Climate change and global warming are words that alarm you, that often seem too big to get your arms around. You care about what’s happening to the world and notice small changes in your own life that seem to point in the direction of a threatened environment. But you wonder if these changes are real, and if they are you can’t imagine what you can do to help change what is happening.

Climate Mama will give you the facts on Climate Change. We will give it to you straight, in a clear and easy format to understand, from trusted and reliable sources that have been vetted and triple checked. We want you to understand clearly what climate change and global warming mean, and what they mean to you, to your day to day life, and to the lives of the ones you love. We want to keep you updated on the latest developments around our planet, on what is happening now and what is important for you to know. We want you to meet ordinary people who are doing extraordinary things to fight this incredible challenge we face. We want to help you choose products and services you can feel good about, that will help us all reduce our carbon footprint and help the earth heal itself. We want to help you understand what your carbon footprint is and give you advice on fitting into a smaller size. We want you to be able to look your son, your daughter, your grandchild, nephew, niece, student or yourself in the eye and say with certainty that you are doing what you can to take care of the earth. We want you to feel empowered, that you are doing what you can to ensure that the world “our children” inherit is a world that is as precious, as vibrant, as healthy and as alive, as the one you grew up in.

We hope to become a regular part of your day. Bookmark us, sign up for our newsletter and read our blog. Check in with us regularly; when you sit down to read your daily news, or when you have finally tucked everyone and everything in for the night and are ready to sit down with a glass of wine, a scotch, a cup of hot chocolate, or maybe some herbal tea (or can you do coffee after dinner and still sleep?)  sit down with us then, as well. We know you don’t have a lot of time, in fact it often feels like “no” time, but we will only take a moment of your time to help you stay on top of the facts and see what’s going on in the world around you more clearly. We want to keep you updated and give you the tools and options you need to make a difference.

Thanks for tuning in and checking us out. Thanks for joining us on this journey to help make the world a better place… Send us your comments, your feedback and your ideas. Send us to your friends so they can be part of our community too. Climate Mama is about you and for you. We are about creating a grass roots understanding about climate change, helping the top down big picture 60” flat screen TV meet the bottom up small screen, every day PDA. Lets all make changes in our daily lives that affect climate change so we can each play our part in helping to solve this difficult puzzle before us.

Remember:

If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.
